tankType | 40AF | Tank type | For optimum results, data acquisition and evaluation must be matched to typical tank characteristics: movement of the product surface, rapid or slow changes in the product level, agitators, etc. · STORAGE Storage tank, still surface, slow rate of change in level. · PROCESS Process tank, slight surface movement, rapid rate of change in level. · AGITATOR (for BM 70 A only) Process tank with agitator, turbulent product surface. It is normally not critical if the tank type is set one step out. However, "Agitator" should not be set for a storage tank, and "Storage" should not be set when an agitator is fitted. It is possible, for instance, that the measured value will change in small steps rather than linearly or will "freeze" at times when the setting is grossly incorrect. (Fct. 3.5.9) | 读/写 | 枚举 | 8 |
antType | 40B0 | Antenna | The antenna type is factory-set here.· STANDARD (All versions incl. "Wave-Stick SW" but excl. "Wave-Stick") · WAVESTICK (Not for "Wave-Stick SW") · BM 70 P: only STANDARD setting possible. (Fct. 3.1.3) | 读/写 | 枚举 | 2048 |
flangeDist | 40B1 | Distance piece | The length of any supplied distance piece above the mounting flange is factory-set here. · Setting range: 0 ... 2000 mm · Default value: 0 mm The value of 120 mm should be entered for the high-temperature version of the flange system. When a curved antenna extension is used, the horizontal component of this extension should additionally be entered (= geometric length of the pipe minus the vertical offset). (Fct. 3.1.5) | 读/写 | 无符号 | 2048 |
pipeDia | 40B2 | ID Stillwell | Inside diameter of the pipe should be entered here in mm. · Setting range: 25 ... 200 mm · Default value: 100 mm If the diameter of the still well is greater than 200 mm, enter the maximum value = 200 mm. (Fct. 3.1.6) | 读/写 | 无符号 | 8 |
lpFreq | 40B3 | LP Filter | If the low pass filter is set to LOW, signals on high spectrum lines (from approx. line 30) are reduced. With max. 5 m high tanks, it can be set to LOW in order to suppress multiple reflections from below the tank bottom. Selection: LOW, HIGH (BM 702: 2.5/5/10/20 m) Default value: HIGH (SEr. 4.1.4) | 读/写 | 枚举 | 8 |
espType | 40B4 | Empty spect. type | With "Abs. values", the empty-tank spectrum is subtracted for every spectrum line to find the plausible measuring value. With "Complex", the complex values are taken in consideration additionally on calculation of the measuring values. Not for BM 700/702 (only "Abs. values")! Default value: "Abs. values" (SEr. 4.1.6) | 读/写 | 枚举 | 8 |
hdeFunc | 40B5 | BD Detect | To activate the block distance (overfill) detector: So long as a significant signal is detected within the block distance, the measured value is "held" at the block distance limit. This avoids any possibility of the measured value skipping to a multiple reflection should the level rise into the block distance range. The block distance should have a value that is at least equal to that specified in help text for "Block distance" as a recommendation! Informational status bit "Tank overfilled" indicates when the block distance detector is active. If the measured value skips (e.g. contamination of the antenna) erroneously to the block distance limit, the "BD-Detect" can be deactivated. (Fct. 3.5.6) | 读/写 | 枚举 | 8 |
mreFunc | 40B6 | Mult. reflections | Multiple reflections frequently occur in storage tanks with an extremely calm surface, typically when the BM 70 A/P /700/702 is mounted on a dome or centred on a "dished cover", or the vessel is fitted with a flat or only very slightly convex head. Such multiple reflections tend to simulate lower-than-actual levels. In such cases, activate the multiple reflections identifier, and see also references in Sect. 8.8 of 'Operating Manual'. · NO (default) Measurement without identification of multiple reflections. · YES Measurement with identification of multiple reflections. A better solution, however, is to change the mounting location of the BM 70 A/P /700/702 so as to prevent the occurrence of multiple reflections in the first place, or at least to diminish the strength of the multiple reflections (see Sect. 6.1.2 of 'Operating Manual'). To ensure satisfactory identification of the first measured value after the BM 70 A/P /700/702 has been switched on, always carry out measurements with the "empty spectrum" when the "multiple reflection identifier" is activated, see Sect. 8.6.12 of 'Operating Manual'.
